Anything electrical can have intermittent problems due to loose connections or shorts. The only way to resolve the problem for sure is to rule out everything you can, and replace the rest. Since mine is working fine now I will just continue to rule out and watch it carefully. If it continues to be problematic I will just purchase a new starter and solenoid from the local marine shop and start replacing them. My boat is a 1994 and everything works and runs great, so I can't complain too much about a few gremlins at this point. :yes_grin:

Yeah, that`s what I figured, the longer you own a boat the more tools you start carrying around! lol

Mine is a 98, bought new in 2000 by the original owner, I bought it in 2008, but it`s such a nice ride really! I cant complain much as I have not put any repairs yet...

Ok, thanks for all your input, I will keep an eye on things and will probably end up doing the same thing with the starter and solenoid eventually.
