Carb Rebuild How to?

I have a 98' Shabah 180 with a 4.3LX. I have a Weber 9600 carb and it needs to be rebuilt. I was going to let my mechanic do it but if i can find a how to manual im sure i can do it myself. I have been searching online but keep coming up empty handed.

Re: Carb Rebuild How to?

I would think if you can find the rebuild kit for you carb it will come with directions on how to do the job. Also if it's anything like a carb of old you will need the number off the carb to get the correct rebuild kit. Just make sure you use all the new parts during your rebuild...checkballs,springs and such may not look worn but still need to be replaced if included in the kit. One other note, make sure you set your float according to the directions with the gauge in the kit or you will surely have problems.
