Gauge problems
 
Hi, Just bought a 95 Mariah 220 talari tach reading is higher then engine rpm also trim gauge when all the way down shows down and all the way up there is no reading inbetween any ideas

Hi Mike,

Look on the back of your Tach, there should be a small dial with settings for 4, 6 and 8 cylinders. record where it's currently at, then rotate it around to clean off any possible corrosion that may have built up on the contacts and set it for the number of cylinders your motor has..

If this doesn't work, your next option is to send it back to Faria for warranty repair. Click here and look at the Marine Warranty PDF file for further information and prices.

As for the trim gauge, I suspect your trim sensor on the outdrive is bad and will require replacing.
