New 502 Will not start after running it for some time and uses a lot of oil
 
can anyone tell us about our 280z with the 502, it will not start after running it for some time we have had the whole gone thru it is all new, but it apears to be useing alot of oil, no leaks, just uses the oil. but after we run for a while it will not start is there a sensor for the oil? please get back thanks phils wife sydney:confused:

See my responce to your first post about the starting issue, click here.

As for the oil, are you using straight petroleum oil or or synthetic? For breaking in a motor, do not use any type of synthetic oils, even synthetic blends. Using synthetic oils during the breaking period will prevent the piston rings from seating properly, so use straight Dino oil until your motor is fully broken-in.
