MerCruise 3.0. Beeping

Brand new to boating. Bought the family a 2011 18.9 with a 3.0 MerCruiser. Good intro to the Mariah family. First trip out got a beep every 2 minutes, ended up being faulty throttle position sensor. Second trip out getting a beep every one minute, runs smooth, gear lube seems to be the common problem from online research but it’s full and if I disconnect the wires it still alarms. Any ideas before I throw money away at the marina? TIA

Did you read the STICKY at the top of the Mercuiser (this) section??

Yes, the sticky directs me to see the dealership but we were hoping someone else had a similar experience and it might be remedied otherwise

Re: MerCruise 3.0. Beeping

The 'beeps' only occur for the following reasons: drive lube level, oil pressure, engine temperature or sensor fault. Intermittent beeps are nearly always a problem with the drive lube level / oil pressure switch / sensor.
