Replacing Manifolds and risers

Hi all, I have a 2012 Mariah R18 with a Mercruiser 3l 135 motor with 130 hours on it. Boat has been used in both salt and fresh water. When do I need to replace the manifolds and riser?

Since you have an in-line motor and the cost isn’t too bad. I’d do them now. Easy job.

You could try pulling the riser/elbow and inspect the water passages. If the gasket area between the water and exhaust air is getting thin, replace both. Better to replace before there is an issue! If water begins leaking into exhaust air you will be replacing your entire motor.
