Winterizing question
I have a 2001 Shabah 182 with a 4.3 mercruiser. I live out west of Phoenix we're it does get colder during the winter months. From people I have talked to most don't winterize just drain the engine. My question is even if it's not necessary to put RV antifreeze other then for peice of mind would it be beneficial to have the antifreeze in there more then just lake water or nothing at all? I assume there are some sort of rust inhibitors in the antifreeze. Thanks for any imput.

Re: Winterizing question
I would spend the hour and $30 and use an anti-freeze mixture. Last thing you want to do is replace an engine due to cracked block.
