400 hp 383 scorpion

I keep seeing on the net people with 400hp scorpions. All I find is 350hp. Anyone know anything about this? Trying to justify buying a complete engine instead of headache of building my 5.7 to a 383. Also, anyone know if they give you a core charge that's worth messing with. My engine still runs decent. Trying to contact AND talk to the right person at merc has been like pulling teeth from a bear.

Here ya go:

"383 CUBIC INCHES... 400 HORSEPOWER
6000 RPMs... 100% ATTITUDE!!
Barefooters, slalom skiers and wakeboarders will get a pure shot of adrenaline from this awesome remanufactured powerhouse! The perfect re-power option for tow boats presently using a 350 MAG MPI, 330 HP Black Scorpion or 454 MAG MPI. Applying our remanufacturing process to a MX 6.2 Black Scorpion, we have incorporated .030 over forged pistons, a more aggressive valvetrain and heavy-duty parts - creating a 400 horsepower juggernaut, matching anything found in a brand new boat!"
