1998 z222 power anchor light

Hello all. I just purchased my first mariah. I have been looking for this boat for about 4 years since I first saw one. Final came across this 1998 shabah z222 l.e. With only 234 hours on it. It needs a few things but for a 16 year old she's in really good shape especially the interior. What I would like to know if the power anchor light is what is supposed to be above the gas cap. There is something there but it's broken off. Any help would be appreciated. ThanksAttachment 5822

Can you post a pic?

The power anchor light sits flush on the top of the gunwale at the transom, and has about a 2" circular base.

looks to be the top part of the cap is missing, but judging by the LED's, it may have been replaced at some point, as LED's weren't being used for nav lights around the time your boat was made. My 2000 Z250 had the powered version, which had an incandescent bulb, and a black plastic outer ring.

If it's truly powered, it will light up and lift when activated. If it just lights up when activated, you may have the "extend-a-light", which is the manual lift version, and these are still available. The powered versions were discontinued several years ago. They were sometimes prone to failure due to the motors. My Z280 has a manual extend LED version with a chrome ring, so it leads me to believe the previous owner replaced the powered version with one of these.

However, if yours works (it lifts when activated), or if it lights up and you can extend it when activated, you may be able to contact the company directly and see if their new parts may be compatible. The part number I'd look into is 504-9915.

Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.
I checked it and it actually still goes up and down with the switch and moves smoothly.
If anyone has the actual light part left they have from replacing one the motor went out of I would purchase it. If not I will just move on to the manual replacement.
If anyone has one please pm or email me.
Thank you!!!!
