Good morning, does anyone know if this brochure was bought by a member of the Mariah Club and if so I hope they would post it because as I bought a 1991and it would be invaluable to me since I did not any written material when I got the boat.

Either Ryan or Chris were looking at it but i dont know if they were successful.

I TRIED!!!! Lost in the last 2 seconds!!!! :shakehead:

My hope is maybe whoever got it is a member and would be willing to submit it for the site! But trust me, I am literally searching thousands of resources trying to locate anything Mariah related, and when I find it, I'll definitely add it to the site.

Actually it was 18 seconds, but who's counting……………

So Chris, I assume t**********95 is your handle?

Funny, but I was going to post a new thread to address when items come up on eBay that would benefit the club and what we could do as a collective on acquiring these items without getting into bidding wars with each other because of not knowing who we were bidding against.

It’s just a thought but, maybe we could:

• Start a saparate thread or maybe a sticky for Club related items.
• Have one or more designated volunteer eBay watchers to post those items to the thread. By this, I mean items more like documentation rather than boats or parts.
(Not that I’m electing anybody, but mikeyt has been doing a great job here :wink_thumbup:)
• Have a volunteer designated club bidder to prevent potential bidding wars
• Start a contribution or something like it for use on acquiring Mariah Items that benefit the Club as a whole when available.

Or maybe it would be easier just to notify the club when one of our members is going to bid on an item and donate it to the club. Any thoughts??

Well forgive me if this all sounded weird, cause I’ve been up for almost two days straight, Some stupid neighborhood kid decided to see what happens when you shoot someone in the head with a BB rifle. Thank God it hit my daughter’s head at an angle so it didn’t go straight in. A gash, bruise, a lot of swelling and crying, but the Doc says she’ll be AOK. I bet the other kid is hurting just as much in a certain place after his dad got a hold of him!

P.S. Hey Chris, I’ll send you the brochure as soon as it arrives! :D

About to crash…,
WetWilly

ShabahZ280 01-19-2008 01:16 PM

yep, that is my ebay id. and i lost it in the last 2 seconds because my wifi at work dropped connection when I was trying to do the final bid! :long_angry_rant:

Man, you had me going there, and I'm glad you won! That was one item i really wanted to get for the club! But had I known it was you, I wouldn't have bid as high! I'll like the sticky in the forum idea just so we don't all end up bidding against each other. I'll talk to Ryan about the financial end of it and see what we can do there.

Yikes, glad your daughter is OK. :)

WetWilly 01-19-2008 03:49 PM

Naaa, you probably would have lost anyway, I had a pretty high proxy bid cause I wanted it for the club too! :D

Jeez, and now I’m having it out over a Mariah Banner! Check it out:

Anyway, daughter's sleeping fine and for the most part, it looks to be a good recovery. Makes me reflect sometimes, doesn’t matter what generation you are, kids sometimes do the stupidest things (adults too)!

Oh, before I forget, the last PDF brochure I sent you, I found that at a site called “Boating with the Dawsons” and they have the following Years of Mariah literature for sale - 2006 2004 2003 2001 2000 99 98 97 96 95 94 93 92 91 90

They are located in Canada and here’s their info:

Dawsons
197794 Grey Road 7 RR4
Meaford, ON Canada N4L 1W7 • (519) 538-2887

http://www.boatingwithdawsons.com/products/index.html

If I’m right, they’re kinda Southeast of Z202 and west of 180Diablo.

They carry a lot of "How To" literature as well!

Now, before anyone jumps on the web to order, there is two things you should know!

1. It is a little pricey; the cost to scan and email a boat model is $25.00 US payable by Credit Card or PayPal.

2. What you get is a PDF file with the part of the brochure for your model ONLY! That means you get the pictures and specs only for your particular model and in my case, the pages that show what was standard and optional for all models of that year and the factory tour where included as well.

For me, it was worth it just to get some information on the equipment and performance for our Mariah!

Oh well, back to sleep,
WetWilly

The Dawsons site kinda reminds me of those religious quacks on TV.....send us your money and we'll heal you!..... uh huh.

Speaking of a banner, i think i only showed this to Chris when we first started gathering resources for the club. I was able to scrounge this up out of a dumpster behind the place we purchased our Mariah years ago. It's now hanging in my garage and the thing is MASSIVE!

Glad I'm not the only one who got that vibe!! Man, I'm in the wrong business... I could retire in 5 years at the prices they're charging for FREE material you can get from any boat dealer....

And btw, Ryan, i've said it before, your banner kicks @ss and I will personally come knock you upside the head if you ever get rid of it!!! :D Man that is such a great find and I am so jealous!!!
