Parts for a 1996 Shabah

Hi Kids,

Am looking for parts for my 180 bowrider, trying to restore it to as close to original as I can get, so here goes:

- captain's chairs - need 2

- compass - need one

- long back bench seat - need 1

This boat was stolen and stripped - we bought it after aftermarket parts had been installed...we really like the boat, hopefully all the mechanicals are now working. After seeing pics of the original, I want to get it as close as I can to the original look.
I have no clue as to how to contact any boat junkyards, so any help you can give would me MOST appreciated.

And, happy Father's Day to those of you who are!

hi Jan

What you are looking for will be very difficult to find. There are a pair of Mariah bolster seats and a complete Faria - Mariah gauge set on Ebay Motors right now but i dont know of any other source for original seating other than Ebay. The bolster seats are not original to the 180 but at least they are original Mariah seats. As for the compass, again, unless someone within our membership has one (maybe some of the ex-Mariah employees?), it is an Ebay item.

On my '95 the compass is a Ritchie model very similar to this:

On my 93, the compass was leaking. So, I removed it and removed the bracket that held it on. Now I have a Garmin GPS unit for my compass needs. I've gone hi-tech!

Too be honest, I only boat on a small section of lakes/rivers anyways. So I always know where I'am. The compass was deemed useless and I was interested in the GPS unit, so I was set. I'm never far enough from shore to need a compass or radio for that matter. Working cell phone towers would be better.. lol.

My lake is about 7km long and about 2km wide. Then it goes to rivers and out to other lakes etc.

Hi jchemotti,

Mikeyt's right about the front seats, very rare indeed.

As for the rear seats, the bench was bacically a box with unique hinges for the seat bottoms to piviot forward then swing open. I was missing one of these hinges so a local metat shop fabed on for me out of SS. Why don't you try to contact MariahTrooper, He has a 96 180 w/ bench seating in the rear. He has pictures posted in the Gallery, take a look. With some more pictures and some measurments, you could have someone duplicate the rear bench in no time!

The compass on our 96' Z240 is the "F50" from Ritchie as Z 202 indicated and from the brochure, your's looks to be the same. These are available from many marine shops and eBay. just do a google or eBay search for the best prices. right know, there are a few for around $46 on eBay, Click here.

Good luck,
WetWilly
