Question? Courtesty Lights
I'm working on the electrical system. Do the Storage lights - hull storage areas, suppose to come on when using the Courtesy lights - floor & cockpit lighting, dash switch? Or are they separate switches. The electrical schematics doesn't show this.

Lights
Douglas-
I have 'transom, eng lights, courtesy (interior cockpit) and a fourth which I don't recall.... sorry its late! |
The lights you're referring to are probably under "eng lights".
Here's a break down: Eng Lights - engine and storage compartment below sun deck Trans Light - light on the transom (rear) of boat Courtesy Lights - interior (floor and cockpit) lights Docking Lights - front "headlights" great for docking at night Nav/Anchor - self explanatory (at least I hope) Don't mean to belittle anyone, just an explanation for those that may have problems (lights burned out, wiring, etc.) and need help locating. |
Courtesty Lights
Do the Storage lights under the seats come on with Courtesy lights?

Oops! I just noticed you have a Jubilee! I'm not exactly sure what would control those lights.
Can you put a tester in the socket and turn switches on? Can you trace the wires? I'm thinking you have burned out lights or a bad connection somewhere. I would guess they're on the courtesy or engine compartment switch, but I don't know being a Jubilee. Maybe another Jubilee owner can comment? |
from the looks of the 1999 20-24' Deckboat wiring diagram, those lamps appears to be wired into the courtesy lamp circuit. I'd start checking the bulbs!
Do you have a photo showing where they are located? |
Courtesy lights
Found courtesy switch with loose wire. The storage lights on my boat came on now using engine light switch. :wink_thumbup:
