Default Mickey Mantle's Boat

Hello fellow Mariah Owners,

It's a long story but I have gotten my hands on the Ultra Rare Mariah Z2000 previously owned by Mickey Mantle. I have spent the better part of 2 months trying to get this bad boy running again. It does finally run however, it doesn't run very well. Unfortunately, I have reached my spending limit (cut me some slack...I'm a newly wed) and I can't afford to keep it any longer.

If any of you are interested in purchasing this piece of history please let me know. If you know someone who might be interested let them know.

I hate to have to sell it but I have other obligations right now and can't continue to work on this boat.

Thanks for looking at this post.

Rick

This boat has popped up on our site a few times over the years. Sorry to hear that you are in a position where you have to sell her.

More than a few times........seems like somebody buys her, keeps her for about 6 months, then she's up for sale again. Hope she finds a permanent home one of these days.

Let me try and clear this up just so there's not a lot of confusion.

Yes, this was one of Mickey's boats. I believe there were 3 made throughout the course of the years. But I don't believe it went through too many hands...

-Mickey died in 1995. This is the only part of the history that's unknown. (from 1995-2002)

-USAWebcat was the first owner that showed up here on the MOC. He was trying to sell it in Sept of 2012, and had owned the boat for 10 years prior. He said he purchased it from a broker who had picked it up at a liquidation sale around 2002. Shortly after I had compared the details to the factory build sheets, (to confirm it was one of Mickey's boats) USAWebcat listed it for sale, and he unfortunately passed away.

-USAWebcat's daughter contacted me as they were settling his estate. They held onto the boat for a short time, and eventually determined they would try and sell it. They put it up for auction with Gallery 63 Auctions in Atlanta, GA.

-Rpreston must have purchased the boat from Gallery 63, and is now selling it.

Just a recommendation for the sale listing, post as many current pics as possible, list the issues that are keeping the boat from running correctly, and most importantly, add an asking price. This will usually help attract buyers. Good luck!!

We currently own this boat and have a potential buyer. He has asked for providence showing that it indeed was the boat owned by Mickey. Is there any way you could provide me with the sheets that prove it?

    Thank you in advance.

I think your proof is right there as the last attached picture in the first post showing the build sheet with the serial number.
