And no , they never came from the factory with that steering system.

They did that for safety when cruising at WOT. Most Brovo drives are only stable into the early to mid 60's range of speed. My performance boat buddys wont get in a boat w/o hydraulic steering that runs in that range. (bad accident i'm assuming)

I went and took a look at this boat and found that it wasn't the right boat for me. I want to thank everyone who commented on this thread. I still want a Mariah, just have to find the right one!
