Re: 2001 Z275ST MCOB for sale

I was told tonight that my boat apparently has appeared on a boat repo site. I did a quick Google search and couldn't find anything. But if anyone sees my boat on a repo site please let me know which site it is. It is definitely not nor has it ever been a repo. Thanks!

Chris,

I'm not sure what's going on, but I wish you the best. I hope you are able to stick around the site and find another boat in the future (which I am sure you will).

I had a major job change.. and was forced to throw my camper up for sale as I was no longer using it. I used it for work and lived in it fulltime on the road for about a year doing Oil and Gas pipeline. I made a killing off of it with my per diem, and it was a great option while the work was there.. but once that project cancelled it became a money sucking leach.. taking the extra money from our bank account. The project I moved to paid about 1/2 what I was making, so we were in major panic mode at first. Luckily I had it advertised over the last few months and was able to sell it to a kid out of Wisconsin who is also working pipeline up here.

I also had a few different window shoppers (nice way of saying trolls) from Craigslist tell me that they had pulled a "car fax" type report on my trailer.. and questioned the ownership and history of the trailer, trying to jerk me into a lower price. I had to laugh though because I knew the complete history of my trailer.

I also got an email response from Prince Ahbu Dabi from the District of Nigeria... he was interested in it and wanted to send me a big fat check for more than i was asking lol. That was the most blatant scam I had ever seen. He wanted me to take his bad check, put it in my bank, then send a "set amount of 2000.00" to another address to arrange for transportation/shipping. I enjoyed the poorly written emails.. so I drug the guy around with about 10-15 email responses before telling him to go kick dirt and find a real job lol.

Anyways - hope all is well and your back to boating soon!

Nick

LMAO Nick! I didn't know that you also knew Prince Ahbu Dubai! Those emails are always funny to me, but what is funnier is that some people actually fall for them. Anyways, thanks for the well wishes and I sure hope we will be back boating soon as well.

Chris

Re: 2001 Z275ST MCOB for sale

So, this is the last night with my Mariah. Her new owner is picking her up tomorrow. It is a sad night but yet a needed relief for us. I almost camped out on her tonight in my driveway, but I didn't. Anyways, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone that has helped me along the way with this boat. This is by far the best group of boaters on the planet. Even though I will be boat less, I will still lurk around on here and I will try and help out where I can. I have been telling the new owner that he needs to join this group so hopefully he will.

Once again thanks to everyone for all the help and support and guidance. You guys rock!!!

I'm glad to hear it worked out for you and took a little of the pressure off. There is no reason for you not to stick around here now!

Unbelievable! So, my buyer never even showed! He Paypal'd us a deposit and said he was coming Sunday to pick it up and then doesn't even show up!!!!!!!!!! He tells me today that his truck broke down and that now he needs more time to think about everything. What the hell is wrong with people these days? Geez, I would have returned his deposit if he would have just been upfront with me. Guess I need to raise our deposit amount as well! :)

Don't give him back the deposit Chris!!
I know it wasn't cheap to list it. Definitely up the deposit amount , and make damn sure it is specified as "Non Returnable".
People these days for sure!!:shakehead::shakehead:
