Love the outdrive shower! Don't see that to often on a pleasure boat.
Definately nice......price....seems a bit high , but it sure looks well taken care of.

Nice boat for sure. High price due to being at a dealer. That is why I always like to buy from individuals. That dealer probably has about 8500 or 9K in that boat tops.

I have the very same boat only different color & no shower excellent shape, paid 15,000 in June of this year.

The drive shower is cheap and not the big feature. The hydraulic steering is something i've never seen on a Mariah. Did they even offer that option from the factory? Nice looking boat.

All I said was it isn't seen much on pleasure boats that the average joe has. I said it was a cool feature , whether it was a cheap one or not.

Cheap, meaning a cheap upgrade. I've seen quite a few on big block pleasure boats. Hydraulic steering? Most people don't even realize the importance of this when building out higher horsepower engines. The steering was the glaring thing for me.

Gorgeous.
If I still lived down there I'd be going to look at that during lunch tomorrow, just to see it. Good point, can't say I've ever seen a 22' boat with hydraulic steering and the BIII is an interesting choice too. I bet it is a great handling boat. Doubt it's been used around there much of its life with a keel in that shape, probably a Table Rock boat.

Never thought this boat would cause such a stir. I mean yea it's a nice boat and a fine example of how exciting a Mariah can be but wow. Glad everyone enjoyed my find!
:blushing:

It is such a beautiful boat MW! With the combination of the Mariah lines and the deep red color, it is a show stopper on any lake!

Thank you! I was pleasantly surprised when I learned about the community. I am looking forward to being a part of it. This is my first boat and I am so excited about the Mariah. I had nearly pulled the trigger on a celebrity and man am I glad I found this

Does anyone know the hp rating for this 454?

Re: A nother nice one in KS (an SE too)

According to Mercruiser the 1997 7.4 Mag puts out 360 HP @ the flywheel. But reading on the mag on other sites , most claim that number is low.
I would use the 360 as my baseline if I were you though.

BTW: Nice Score!!:wink_thumbup:

Thanks. I have found sites that say 360 to 420 depending on the injection.

Re: A nother nice one in KS (an SE too)

A buddy of mine purchased a boat from a dealership in October. The dealership has a deal where they take him our to the lake for the day, complementary of course. I will say that being around boats and boating since I was old enough to swim I still took away lots of helpful information. This being your first boat I would highly recommend doing something similar if it is possible.
These machines are not the cheapest things to repair AND that vessel is beautiful!

Agreed. I plan on an extensive test drive. My family has had boats since in was a teenage so I'm not exactly a newbie. That said its definitely a different perspective when it's on my dime lol. Thanks a lot for the advice I will definitely do that.

Congrats! Now, hopefully we'll get some rain so you can use it without towing 5 hours.

The mud puddle isn't looking very good.

Wouldn't it be nice if ALL dealerships would do something like that? It would definitely enhance the reputation of some of them. But...i guess the downside? to that is if they take along another slightly larger & nicer boat 'for comparison sake'....

I'll say I was impressed with the dealership seeing as the boat was a consignment sale. The potential for an up sale is possible. "This V6 is nice but try this V8".... haha
