If I had the cash and the time I would snatch this one up. Red fades within a very short time out in the sun and the vinyl can be redone in a much better material than Mariah used in those days.

Someone jump on this and I will personally guide you through the process of rebuilding her to better than new condition.

$12,000.........................on craigslist with a newer 496.

Fiberglass can be buffed out.............vinyl can be redone but you will not find another 30' mcob for this kind of money no matter what condition.

Needs a trailer according to the ad. Also just IMO, any boat that has been neglected physically that bad will be neglected as bad or worse mechanically. I dont know how much weight I would put into the mechanicals being in as good of shape as the ad proclaims. I would say anything over 8g is gambling.

Patrick: If you read the eBay ad you will see that the trailer the boat is sitting on is not the trailer that goes with the boat. If you look closely at the pics on eBay you will see the (rotted) matching trailer sitting behind the boat.

I paid a bit over $12k for mine originally and it was in way finer shape then this one.

This thing is up to $7600 and the reserve is not met yet. I'd love to get a boat like this but the cost of just cleaning it up, not to mention a new trailer and transportation costs are way out of line.

Wow! This is a great deal! I would trade in my 275 in a heartbeat for this! Yes, it does need work but it is still a great deal. Wish I had $8,000 laying around. I could sell my boat and use my new triple axle for this boat...dang..right boat but the wrong time!

No. I paid a bit more then 12k, but not much. Mine was a bank repo. bought it from a guy that bought it at the auction, had a marine survey done and a tune up. he made money quickly (9 days) and i got a deal. granted Ive spent $1000's more since then, but it's the way I want it, spent where I want to.

I have peps often ask "what is it ?" "what year is it ?" When I tell em, they shake there heads saying "WOW !!!"

Well, No clue what you paid for it but it looks like according to the auction that my guess of anything over 8g was a gamble with it ending at $8100. Hopefully it will come together for you and you can get her looking the way she probably once looked.
