Thanks Ryan. I was just curious if there was a way to tell if it were a "Z" model and I dont think the Z modifier is included in the HIN. I will have to check it out later on when I go up and wax it.

Thanks again

Yeah, boat HINs aren't as detailed as car/truck VIN numbers are.

For a vehicle VIN number, you can tell you if its american or canadian built, the carline, the model, two door/four door, seat belt options, engine, year, plant built at and the sequence number.

At least, with a GM vehicle you can.

:D

the most common way to distinguish Z-models after 1997 is they have a curved dash like the first pic below. Before then, you had to look at your boat's options and compare to the brochure to see if you've got a Z-model. Which I should tell you, in the back of the brochures, there's a list of all the options Z-series came with. We have most all of the brochures online in our contributors section. Click the "Donate" button for more info.

Thanks Ryan for the links.... I continue to find this site a great wealth of information about both my own Mariah and boating in general. Well worth the membership.

Thanks.

Looks like I need to upgrade to a contributing member so I can get the info.

Have to look into that.
