My first Mariah

Just purchased my first Mariah. It feels good!
It's 1994 180 Talari with a 2000 Merc 4.3LX Vortec. It is now parked in the barn, winter is here now. I only test ran this boat for 40 mins or so. Managed to hit 55 on the wish meter. It has a 23 p aluminum prop. Slugish take off indeed. So ill be shopping for new one , maybe two. Any info on top props I could look at. Most likely 19p or 21p and high polished SS. Unfortunately at the time I didnt get to see WOT rpm.

The 180's with a 4.3 seem to love the SS Apollo 20' 4 blade prop.
Great all round prop and on a good day you'll still see 50mph :wink_thumbup:

Thats great I'll definatly consider that prop. I will do some testing when the ice melts in 5 months, before making any purchases. Bring on the hot sunny days!

Nice boat! my 18.2 mariah w the 4.3 has a SS 3 blade 21p prop. decent on take off, even tho i wish it was little more aggressive and hit GPS 51mph
