new to boating

we bought a z235 and I have never owned a boat before, we did get it out for a weekend before it got cold, we are in southern Indiana.
still trying to find a manual that tells what all the switches are to and if there is a holding tank for the sink in the cuddie cabin. there is a knob on the dash you turn and beside it there is a button that raises the outdrive. so what is the knob for you turn. I will have a lot of questions in the future, and by the way HELLO to everybody

Hi Roger, and welcome to the MOC!

The manual for these boats is pretty generic, and not model specific, (in fact it never changed from 1990-2001). It's more of an "overview" of the boat and boating in general. I suggest reading it since you're new to boating, you'll find it very helpful.

As for the switches, take a look around our gallery and see if you can find some similar models and some dash photos. If you still can't find what you need, make a post in the "Original Mariah Talk" section, and ask for help with switch identification, there will be people who can help! If you can take some photos and upload them with the post, this will really help.

For the holding tank, chances are there isn't one, unless there's a water fill fitting on the outside of the hull. They used a small portable "bladder" for many of their sink configurations, as seen below.

The dial is most likely a dimmer for the instruments, but I'm not 100% certain on that. If you could post a pic, that'd help us identify it.

Hope this helps!
