Hello everyone

I joined in anticipation of purchasing a 1996 z210 shabah today. I'll be spending between $3-3500 for boat and trailer. Owner says boat motor and outdrive are solid, just needs upholstery work and a good spit shine. Hoping for the best. I should have enough in my budget at that price to put in some work and have a really nice boat. I've owned boats before and just sold a Sea Ray 180 in search of a larger boat.

Can anyone point me to a video review of the features of this boat. It seems to have a lot of extras like the rope lockers on the swim platform that I've never seen before. And are those headlights on the front on either side of the bow?

Re: Hello everyone

Welcome to the MOC jaydubyaZ210! Good luck on your project! We've got quite a few members here who have redone interior upholstery back to OEM style, so feel free to search around. Just be prepared, it can be an expensive venture, as Mariah used top notch Nautolex marine vinyl with Pre-fixx coating (which is almost 3x thicker than any competitors used), and they also used gore-tex stitching (the same stuff they stitched NASA spacesuits with). You'll find that the majority of Mariah owners are incredibly passionate about their boats, and will spare no expense when it comes to getting their boats to showroom condition. It's almost a sin to cheap out by using inferior products on such nice boats.

There are no "video reviews" of your boat, but I'd encourage you to view some of the videos we have here:

Yes, those are "Docking Lights" on the bow, and they are meant for use only while docking. You can actually be pulled over by water patrols and cited for operating with them on outside of a marina or launch ramp.

The wet ski locker on the swim platform is a nice feature. It also can double as a small cooler.

When it comes to options, the "Z" package was Mariah's top of the line, and includes a laundry list of special items. When you really get into features, you'll find why Mariah's slogan was "Equipped like no other boat in the world". :wink_thumbup:

Re: Hello everyone

So I got the Z210 today. Paid $3100 for it. The motor seems to run great, outdrive performs well, floor is solid. I have a substantial amount of work to do on the interior; cleaning, vinyl replacement, carpet cover/replace. I also need to check all of the gauges, especially fuel and trim indicator. I estimate to have about $5k total in it before I'm all done and ready for next season.
