Hello,
My husband and I just purchased a new to us 1992 Shabah...(we have no idea what model it is past a Shabah any help with that would be greatly appreciated!). This is also our first boat to own. I grew up on boats and on the lake and want to share that experience with my children. We have a 6 yr old boy and 2yr old girl. Excited about boating! We live in north central Oklahoma. |

Hi and let me be the first to say Welcome http://www.cosgan.de/images/midi/froehlich/h010.gif
Pictures would go a long way to helping answering your question. Also if you send ShabahZ280 a pm with the HIN (hull number on the transom) he'll probably be able to tell you what info was on the build sheet  P.S Don't forget to ask MikeyT about manuals and whale tails, he's snowed in/bored and hasn't had a good rant in a few weeks now :rolling_laugh: |

Welcome to MOC J&S! :)
Stick a tape on it from the center of the transom to the tip of the bow. Then we can pretty much tell you the model anyway. Once again..........Welcome! |
Re: New Member
Thank you for all the warm welcomes! Thanks to the wonderful help from Chris (ShabahZ280)....we now know we are the proud owners of a 1992 Shabah Z198 :)

Welcome aboard! You can also have a look in our Gallery at the 1992 models to see which one yours matches up with.
btw....ignore Andy. He's upset cuz he's not out shoveling snow like the rest of us. :) |

Re: New Member
okay, now that i've seen the photos.......the first thing you need to do is GET RID of that awful and disgusting whale tail stuck onto the outdrive and install a pair of Smart Tabs. Those things only belong on a Bayliner...
Other than that...you've got some work to do but overall it looks decent. :wink_thumbup: |
