Re: 1850xl

The plan is to go and look at it on Monday. Right now it is a long distance from my house and the seller is bringing it home from his cottage. I will be looking at it in a driveway. It has 350 hrs on it . I dont think that is very much for a 4.3l motor. I dont think I will be able to take for a test drive before a decision is made but should be able to run it in the driveway. At least I will be able to crawl underneath and inspect for major damage

Check it over closely. Make sure all of the electricals work. If seats are deteriorated/torn/ripped they can be a little pricey to put right. Interior trim parts & glass are very hard to find for the oldest models so make sure they are in good order. Best of luck & keep us updated?

btw...when u used the word "cottage" you identified yourself as a Canuck. :)

I never thought of that.
we have both Cabins and Cottages however I personally dont have either.
Generally when I think of a cottage it is on waterfront and has everything that a house has.
several rooms, real beds, electricity, plumbing and is used for vacations.
When I think of a cabin, it can be on the water but can also be in the woods or mountains. Normally no electicity, one room, wood stove. used by hunters, trappers or hikers.
Now thats just my opinion and I am sticking by it:)

I think we're safe on this side of the pond. I did note however that the practice appears to have originated in the UK.... :rolling_laugh:

Thanks Larry
I still haven't got over the disbelief that I actually own it
Test run was really impressive. Got a few little things to iron out but overall, I couldn't be happier.
