New owner Mariah sx21 '03-'04 model
 

Hi All,
Bought this fabulous boat back in April and everywhere we go, we get compliments.
We then went through all the mysterious stuff of Mariah's "need to know" Policy! no individual manuals etc.
Glad to have found the club, good source of information.
Does anyone know why my boat is 2003-2004 only, did they make changes after 2004?
The boat came with a bimini top that was more like a cabin cover, sit down room only and crawl if you wanted to get through to the bow.
After much research I have ordered a nice 35" high 6foot long ski/power boat (sunbrella) bimini from boat covers direct, they said that it was the type recommended by Mariah for my boat. I also upgraded to stainless steel fittings etc and got 10% off, free shipping and all-in-all it cost us just short of $400.. Customer service and reviews for the company were excellent so now I will wait and see what the product itself is like, they said it would be manufactured, shipped and delivered in 7 business days, if its all true I will be more impressed than I already am.
Discovered Lake TenKiller in Oklahoma, wonderful lake, clean, consistently deep and very little traffic if you stay away from peak times and when we get this bimini mounted we will not have to come home looking like cooked cherries!!

Welcome aboard Donald! Glad to hear you get compliments on your boat. That SX version was a carry over of hulls from the original Mariah company and as the new Mariah figured out they wanted to build boats to a price point, i suspect that they converted to a newer less expensive hull design as the years passed. From what i've read from a number of posters, some of those early 'new' Mariahs had teething pains. It was a new style boat for Sea Fox and i'm sure they were learning as they went. That said, any of those problems would likely have been resolved well before you bought your boat so you should have a few years of trouble-free boating ahead of you as long as you keep her maintained.

As for the top, i suspect you have a 'convertible' top rather than a bimini as they tend to sit much lower and are basically designed to keep the rain off the passengers while boating. The new bimini you mention should make things much better.

can anyone tell me why the site keeps telling me i'm, not logged and and should become a member and I can't access this or that because I am not a member and actually I'm a gold member and the login says I am "logged in" ????
