Oriental Mariah
Hello everyone. My name is John Blake and two years ago I bought a 1996 Mariah 18.0 as a "Play Boat" around the town of Oriental, NC..I have sailed all my life and wanted the boat for my Grandchildren when they come to town. The boat has less than 100 original hours was bought by it's original owner in Minn for lake use. he was then transferred and the boat sat in his heated garage for years and years virtually unused. My mechanic says it is an "as new" boat. I now have it in my garage area, covered and pampered. I am travelling and so have only used it 4 times in two years but fresh water flush, good wax and continual cleaning have left the boat in the still immaculate condition it was when I bought it. I came to this site via The New Mariah Boat Company as they said they were unable to help me with my request. I have tried everywhere to get another spare ignition key and have been unsuccessful. Does anyone have a suggestion who I might contact????..
Thank you and I look forward to being a part of this forum. My boating experience because of my international career spans Long Island Sound, The South China Sea, Venezuelan waters, the Caribbean, Tortola, St Johns...etc, I have been a member of the NY Yacht Club, a sailing instructor, Sailed Macau, South China Sea race(s), Associate member of the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club, Block Island race, Vinyard Race, bermuda Race twice etc, and delivered pacemaker and Egg Harbor Yachts as a Yacht Captain. I have my 6 pak and with all of this, starting when I was 6 years old in long Island, I am still scared of the speed of this Mariah....One has to be very, very respectful...Thank you for permitting me to enter your forums...J Blake, Oriental, NC |
