Joe D - Mariah Newbie

Hello all. Funny story. I am a new Mariah boat owner as of this past Saturday. I have always been a cabin cruser kind of guy with a few sea rays inder my belt (what can I say). Cabin cruisers are great for weekending and overnighting for the long haul and will continue to do that. BUT, my wife wanted a smaller "day" boat with a bowrider. After doing some research I decided a Mariah was a good choice. And what do you know, one became available close to where I live. I went to see the boat and loved it. Problem is I am not really sure what I bought. The buyer said it was 24' and not sure of the model. The hull is tremendous shape but the engine had a knock, which I believe worst case will have to be rebuilt. The boat came with a tendem trailer, dock lights, &.4 Mercrusier with Bravo 2 outdrive. I got the whole package for $6000, which I thought was a good deal, all considered. At least I think it was a good deal. I don't know what model it is but the serial or model number is MAB*******97. I bought the boat in a big hurry because I was going on a business trip a few hours before I bought the boat. I will pick it up upon my return. Anyway if anyone can help me idendify the model and length it would be greatly appreciated. BTW it is a 1997...thanks all and it is great to be aboard and can't wait to the boat on the water.

First off, welcome aboard. Unfortunately you're not giving us a lot to work with in identifying your boat model. I've blanked out your Hull ID for security reasons but that ID only gives us the model year. Based on what you have said, i would guess its either a 214 Talari or a 242 Shabah. Each of those boats come in a standard version, a "Z" version and an "LE" version. Posting a few pics will help us out.
