Hello all,

My father-in-law just purchased a 1998 Mariah and I wanted to join your community so I can help him out if the boat gives us any trouble. There is not much information out there for the Mariah's so I hope I can interact to find what I need here. He purchased the boat from an old authorized dealer. They do not sell them new anymore but still service the old boats. Thanks for all the help.

Welcome aboard Kevin. Which original Mariah dealer did he purchase the boat from & what model did he buy?

Unfortunately, he does not have much technical knowledge so he only has the specs the salesman told him. It is a 1998 with a 190hp Mercruiser, 20' length, open bow, inboard/outboard. Our boating season is over so I won't see it until spring next year. I would like to find all the info on what models were offered for the 1998 model year. That is all the specs I know for now. The dealer we have dealt with for many years that was also a Mariah dealer is Devil's Lake Watersports in Michigan. Thanks for the help.

I'm going to assume by a "20'" boat you likely have a 202 model. If it has a 190hp motor then you have a 4.3L, it weighs approx 2450lbs and has a 40 gal fuel tank.
