Almost New Owner

I hope to be test driving and buying a 94 Z212 Shabah within a week. I have been emailing, receiving pictures and talking to the current owner over the last week. The boat has the 5.7 with a "Closed" cooling system which I understand is pretty rare. I will want some feedback on that system if anyone out there has any experience with that setup.

There are 244 hours on it and it has a tandem galvanized trailer. It has a Wake Tower installed which is what I was going to do, so this is a bonus. Typical tears in the interior (White with Blue accent) and some reasonable blemishes hear and there.

If all goes well with the purchase, I will be asking for help to get the boat back into top condition. I previewed some of the postings for the boats in this era and they have been either well taken care of or beautifully restored.

Thanks in advance for your participation in my new venture!

Congratulations and welcome!

The boat you are considering is what we have, and it is wonderful for a nice combo lake-saltwater boat. Good power, well equipped boat.

Mine did not come with the closed cooling and I purchased one and installed it last winter and am very happy with it. I think it is wise to have if you do some time in the saltwater, which we do.

Make sure the maintenance has been cared for, and if not make it a priority and you will have a great ride for years.

You can see some pictures of ours in gallery and you can read the thread about the cooling system, by searching for "fresh water cooling"

Hope the best and welcome to the club.

I visited my prospect boat this afternoon and put down a deposit. I wrote down the HIN and have run it through the "BoatHistoryReport.com" website. Good news, the one that I'm looking at is clear!

I purchased the 30 day unlimited package. If there is anyone out there who would like to "possibly" sell me their boat and would like to make sure that there are no problems from the past, I would be happy to run the HIN to make sure you would be advertising to me a boat that you knew the history on.

My email is [email protected]. You know what to do!

Checking to see if my picture and updated signature are working.

Re: Almost New Owner

Took it out for the fourth time today and this is one awesome boat. We had 4 adults and three grand kids and hit 50 (GPS) several times with a 21P Quicksilver 3 blade. I know this prop is too steep for pulling skiers. Can't wait to try the 19P High Five that I see others talking about. This boat with the 5.7 is quite a jump up from the 18' Kona outboard ski boat that our boys learned with not so many years ago.

I know there are quite a few postings on Smart Tabs. Is there someone out there with a 94 Z212 Shabah that can show me a picture of how they mounted the tabs?

What other rear ends are the same as a 94 Z212 Shabah so that I may look at some of the postings with pictures?

Thanks in advance to all of the wonderful enthusiasts in this great club.
