Hi all! New poster child on the forum, I just purchased a 2002, 268MCC. I have lots of questions but need to sit down with the manuals for a while and I'm sure alot of my questions will be answered. Look forward to sharing experiences and photos with everyone

Welcome to the board Mark! Wow, you've got a pretty rare boat there, there were very few 2002 models ever produced! Can you post some pics for us?

The manuals may disappoint you a bit, they're very generic, not model specific, and are more of just a general introduction to boating book. We'll be happy to answer any questions you may have! That's what Mariahman and I created this forum for! :wink_thumbup:

Thanks for welcome, not sure how but I stated the year wrong, it is a 2001, but was purchased new in 2002. Yes I'm finding this but to be a rare breed, not alot of info and the manuals are pretty generic. I have no paperwork in the manuals that states the 268 model, pretty strange.

One question I have is at the rear transom in the walk-thru is a 110v male connector, I'm assuming that this is the optional battery charger but I'm wondering which battery(s) it charges? I would guess the starting batterys since there is already a charger in the shore power switches that charges the deep cycle.

You're correct. The 110v outlet on the transom charges the starting battery.

Don't feel jipped by the manuals, none of them were specific at all. It's fairly obvious that Mariah paid much more attention to building their boats rather than concentrating on their owners manuals.
