New Owner
Picking up our new to us 1996 Shabah 18' with 4.3l Mercruiser. This is our first big family boat and we are quite excited to start the kids into the water sports this summer. I'm looking for a new stereo for it, it currently has an old Jensen Am/Fm/Cassette deck in it. I'm looking to replace it with something that plays back CD's and MP3s. Does anyone have any suggestions? Looking to spend under $150 for the receiver.
Thanks for any help! Kelvin |
Re: New Owner
Welcome aboard! Go with a Pioneer deck. They seem to be able to handle the pounding a little better than most other brands.

Re: New Owner
Clarion makes great marine radios. I have a cmd5 double din unit that is great! I just installed a Kenwood KMR-440U and really like it although the Clarion is built better using stainless to cover everything. The clarions are a little more expensive but they do have a single din unit that is close to your price range. The Kenwood has a USB and an aux jack right on the front to play anything from off brand mp3 players, Ipods/Iphones, and straight jump drives. The Kenwood is a brand new design as well where some others are 2-3 years old in design.
