need to pull engine to replace Y ring, need help
 

Just joined the club and have two questions: 1. Need to pull engine to replace a Y ring seal that is leaking, the dealership wanted $2k, I have a mechanic that will do it for half of that but wants and needs better instructions on how to pull the motor before jumping in. Where can I find a manual that will show me/him how to do it?
My interior council is green and white and fading bad, is there a dye or compound that will restore it, it looks shoddy.
