Hey everyone, my wife and I just became proud owners of a 2001 Z212 Shabah. We can hardly wait to take the kids and enjoy some water time. Only had boat for about a week and just getting started to get ready for summer. My wife and I have waited many years for a boat and just couldn't pass up our MARIAH, it is yellow and one beautiful boat!!!

Awesome, another 2001 Yellow Z212! We have one in the Gallery. Is it the same one or do we now have two of these beauties? The one in the gallery says Limited as well. Is yours a Limited? Please post some pics, we get some sort of winter satisfaction looking at each others since we cant use them.

Congrats, very nice boat!

Yes it is a limited and as soon as i am able to finish cleaning the boat I will post some pics. Just have had one day to play with it. Doing some minor maintance , changing the oil, just replaced the impeller just for the sake of knowing there is a brand new one installed. The boat is really clean and have good maintance records. The boat has 200 hrs on it , but the side decal has been removed and I think I like it better it just gives it a real clean look. Getting the windows tinted this week and will start the final clean up, will post a.s.a.p.

I don't know if anyone saw my post earlier, but I was wondering what everyone was using for polishing the boat. Any suggestions?

I use Aqua Buff (either 1000 or 2000) depending on oxidation, then I use Wenol brand polish/wax.

Where are you able to purchase Aqua Buff and Wenol wax? I do appreciate you help.

Cory 03-03-2011 03:17 AM

Re: New Member

Do you need to use a Buffer or can you use by hand. Oxidation is very minor.

Here is a quote from Mikey T from another thread on same subject. I wish I knew how to link to that thread, but I have not figured that out yet.

"When you are creating a post simply look below what you are entering and you should see a button marked "Manage Attachments". If you click on that you can then upload a photo into your post."

Hope that helps, look forward to what you have to share.

Click Go Advanced, then follow the instructions Zack posted. Also, pictures have to be pretty small, 640x480. Looking forward to them.

I use a buffer on slow speed to remove oxidation in large areas and hand polish after wards. The key to the Aqua Buff is to keep it wet. So it's kind or a two person job. One misting the compound, the other running the machine.

You can rub the Wenol on by hand and remove it by machine as well.

Keep in mind I have a 30' footer, so it's a "all week" process for me.

Just wanted to know how much to replace Mariah logo script on side of 2001 z212 shabah? Any help would be appreciated..

Re: New Member

You can find the raised ones for ~$30 (Sea Fox Mariah dealers can get them):
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Maria...5#ht_500wt_956

But I'm not sure if the originals ever used the raised letters or just the flat ones like this:

Here's the thread you need! I should have just linked it on the facebook page.

http://www.mariahownersclub.com/foru...cals-sale.html

One of our members bought all the original decal stock from the manufacturer that produced them for Mariah. He also sells them on ebay. His name is Mike Eftink. Make sure and tell Mike that Chris from the MOC sent referred you over, maybe he'll even cut you a deal!

OEM decals for your year would have been the gold gel domed script, they didn't start using the silver decals until after Sea Fox came into the picture in 2003.

Thanks for the help. Just wondering if anyone had pictures of subwoofer enclosers mounted under helm or port side? Just not quite sure where to put a sub in my 2001 z212. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: New Member

I remember seeing a boat somewhere (seems like it was here) that had a bass tube mounted under the helm. I can't seem to find the thread but I know I commented about it being hard on the gauges and the person said they'd done it to multiple boats and never had a problem. I had planned to mount one there on my Mariah because, like you said, there is just a ton of unused room under there.

Edit: Found it. It's Hyperryd's boat. Not quite the way I was remembering but it's a great use of space.

Attachment 3067Just a picture after some buffing and polishing, windows tinted, amp and sub install, minor seat repair, and support poles for bimini top. We finally had a chance to put it in the water for the first time and were overly impressed with our Mariah. Will post more pics later.
