New owner of a Mariah SX19

Hi,
I am a new owner of a Mariah 2008 SX19, and I am looking for a "owner manual"? Is it available somewhere?
Also in that boat, I have a Mercruiser 3.0 . I found it not powerful enough. Alone in the boat, there is no problem, but when 4 or 5, it is very long before having the boat out of water.
Is there something I am doing wrong? I had a "helice" with 21 of pitch, and I change it for a 19. It is better, but still not enough. Can I change it for a 17 of pitch?
Thanks for your informations!
Robert

Welcome aboard Robert. Since you have a 'new' Mariah I've cut & pasted a recent response from Sea Fox regarding manuals etc here:

From: "Amy Fox" <[email protected]>

The 3.0L in a 19' boat is not going to be a fast boat & it will work hard to get on plane with 4-6 people aboard. It will be a comfortable cruiser that is easy on fuel though. Dropping the prop to a 19" pitch will help but i would not suggest dropping to a 17" pitch without first checking what your RPM's are at WOT (full speed or wide open throttle). Your engine is designed to run efficiently between 4400-4800 rpms at WOT so that is the range you need to be in. Higher than 4800 leads to faster engine wear & increased fuel consumption, lower than 4400 and your engine is working too hard. For guidance remember that for each 1" drop in pitch you will gain 200 rpms so you need to be careful.

The other thing you could consider to improve getting onto plane is adding a pair of Smart Tabs. You can do a site search on "Smart Tabs" and find numerous threads/posts on the subject. Most members who have installed them report faster planing, less low speed 'wander' and the ability to stay on plane at lower speeds. You can also read about them here.

Hey, thanks to Amy Lynn Fox from Mariah boat co, and thanks to Mickey for your promptness to answer my issue! It is the first time I write in this "Mariah owner club", and I aprreciate very much the help brought by the members.
Again thank you very much, and I will follow your advises.
Robert

Another think: What about changing for a 17 of "pitch" but watching my RPM for not going over 4800 RPM?
Thx.
Robert

I suspect that if you were using a 21" and dropped to a 19" you will likely be very close to 4800 already. That 2" drop in pitch would have increased your RPM's at WOT by 400. Next time you have the boat out run it at full speed and make a note of your RPM's before you make any more changes.
