Will Mariah be my first boat?

Hello everyone,

I am new to the boating world and Mariah boats. I just purchased small vacation property on a lake and guess what comes next?? The boat. I know nothing about boats but have been doing a bit of research on the net. From what I have seen I have found a boat I think I would like to buy: a 2001 Diablo with a Volvo Penta engine.

My first two questions are:

1) Are all Mariah boats USA made?
2) How would I know if the boat above was made by the original Mariah company or the new company? (as 2001 was the year another company took over)

Any other advise, comments, etc is very welcome.

Thanks!!

The 2001 was one of the original Mariah boats and yes all were made in the USA. If the boat has been well looked after then it will be a very nice first boat for you.

I currently own a 2002 Diablo that is of course an original Mariah, in fact one of the last to come off the assembly line. We love it!! It was a great first boat for my family and it has been awesome. The Diablo was the entry level boat but as far as craftmanship, detail, design, etc. it's far better than any other entry level boats built. Of course that's just my opinion. :wink_thumbup:
