First Time Writer
New member earlier this summer. Picked up a 92 2000Z. Nice condition. 360 Hrs. Been quite pleased. While I live in Western PA, I boat in western Maryland. Forum has been quite helpful in getting info on the various issues of Mariah. I do have my first question.
With the powered motor access lid (sundeck) , how do you get to the battery in case your battery goes dead? Thought for a while you could rotate the stern bench seat out of the way but it is locked in by an overhang from the access lid. I tought it better to know the answer to this question prior to having the need.... Thanks |
Re: First Time Writer
I am able to rotate the bench seat with the deck down. It is not east, but doable. I would say that is the only way...

Re: First Time Writer
My hatch motor is mounted in a fitting that has about 3 inches of travel for this specific reason. You're able to lift the sunpad a few inches, reach your hand in, and pull on the pin that connects it to the lift mechanism. I thought all boats would have this "back-up" system, but seeing so many replies on this subject makes me think not.

Thanks folks. I'll try it these fixes this weekend and see if they work.
