1996 Shabah 200 4.3 V6
 

Hey all. I just bought a 1996 Shabah 200. The orig. 4.3 was full of water in 2007, and was replaced with a brand new 4.3 with a 4 barrel carb, I belive 220 horse. I wondering if it would sound throaty at all with the thru-hull exhaust. I love that smell and sound of the thru-hull exhaust.

Any thru hull will sound good, but to get that big beefy throaty sound, you'll need a big block motor. The 4.3L V6 has very limited options for thru-hull kits, so you might have trouble locating everything, or have to do a lot of customization...

Thanks for the Info. I think I will just wait until it's time for a new engine, then put the 5.7 in with thru hull exaust.

Personally, the quieter our boat is the happier both The Admiral and I are.
