Wow a Mariah web page !!

Not a forum or "club" kind of guy but just couldn't resist when I saw a "Mariah" club. Somehow you think you’re the only guy in the world in love with your particular type of boat and then you come here and find out there is a whole bunch of us. My 1999 30' Z302 is certainly my baby which is why I decided a few years ago to plan on keeping it and re-powering vs. taking the beating on re-sale and still not finding a comparable boat that I like as much. Add in how much more I would have had to spend as the price of boats escalated in the "good years" and it certainly was the right choice. It is pretty cool still having people stop you all the time (12 seasons later) admiring the boat and asking what kind it is. I work pretty hard at keeping it maintained and looking good but it certainly is something I rarely think of as a chore. Looking forward to hearing and learning more about the club, thanks for having me. Jamie

Thanks Mikey,

Couldn't help but notice your canvas top in the picture. Did that come with your boat or did you have it made. I have a bimini somewhere in my attic that I never even took out largely because my old boat had a poorly designed one that kept me crouched behind the windshield. Now you have me wondering if mine gives me that nice stand up room that yours shows. Jamie

I had mine custom made at a local canvas shop and the nice thing about custom is you get a perfect fit. I incorporated the bimini top with a camper style top just for the extra headroom but to be honest i've only used the side & front curtains once or twice when the rain has caught me out on the water. What you describe almost sounds like a convertible top rather than a bimini.
