Intro

Just came into a family 2000 Mariah 252. May need a new wiring harness, thought I would start here see if anyone has suggestions where to search for parts for these boats. Thanks!

Welcome aboard. What makes you think you 'may need a new wiring harness?". Most of the time it is simply a bit of corrosion at the terminals. Its a very rare occasion where you might actually have to replace wiring.

Re: Intro

We got this boat from a relative who had it in Northport Harbor for 4 years and it has always run poorly. Had our mechanic upstate work on it for 8 hours and he says the harness has been cut and spliced so many times and the corrosion so bad in places it is an accident waiting to happen. It is running great now, trying to avoid being towed in someday, also tach doesn't work . The ones I see online run $1360-1525 for the yr 2000, prior to that they are around $650, figures. Was wondering if anyone here has experience with any suppliers at good prices. Thanks!

Also how do I access the manuals, says private and won't let me. We don't have one. TY again.

Robert

Manuals.........the # 1 asked question and dealt with in numerous places (FAQ's, Welcome message, forum 'stickies') here. Have a look at this post by our Admin guy Mariahman.
