Hi everyone

I just wanted to drop a short note and introduce myself. My name is Roy and my handle is luv2bdad. I have a 1996 Mariah Z-240 Talari with a 7.3 ltr Bravo III. This is my first boat however I grew up around boats. We bought the boat in 2006 and due to health issues it has been dry now for 3 years. I recently de-winterized it and got it running however I have one major problem that I need help with. I have seen similar threads but mine is a little different. I have two holds that are right in front of the back bench seat. They set on either side of it. One is the hold for the main power control. They are carpeted and go back a ways. These holds will NOT drain and we keep having to use a shop vac to empty them out. From what we can tell there are no drain holes.

My questions.

Would these be carpeted over?
Are they suppossed to drain out the back or into the bilge?
If there are holes are they suppossed to be in front, back?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all and thank you for allowing me to join your family

Welcome aboard Roy!. There are a number of Z240 owners, including our moderator "WetWilly" here so i'll leave it to one of them to answer your questions about that boat.

Thanks Mikeyt. Hopefully I can get some answers here. I hate the fact that this thing will not drain right.

Re: Hi everyone

wplaine---If you have any questions et me know. I have the manual for my motor, instalation instructions ets. For some reason thoughn with all of my paperwork (I bought the boat used but it had ALL of the manuals) there isn't any information on the boat itself. I couldnt find anything that had fuel capacity, drain info, etc.
