Hello

Hi everyone. I bought my 2000 Z202 Shabba last summer and am thrilled with it's looks and performance. One issue I was hoping someone could help me with. Midway through last summer my speedometer stopped working. I had the boat winterized by a local shop and they assured me that that would fix the problem. According to them sometime the watert inlet for the speedometer gets clogged. When I put it into the water this summer the speedo was still not functioning. Does anybody know the mechanism for this. Is it in the lower end of is there a sending unit somewhere on the boat? Any help would be appreciated. While not critical, this malfuntion is very annoying.

hi there. The mechanic was correct in saying that usually the small intake hole on the front of the outdrive leg gets plugged. Possibly he forgot to clean it out. Here's a link to an explanation & photos by our mod 'WetWilly' showing you the location of the hole and the tubing etc

Re: Hello

Sure enough, the hose was disconnecdted. I have reconected the line and the speedometer is back in action. Thanks for the help. By the way, since you have been so helpful, how do I attach a pic of my Z202 to my profile for everyone to see? Thanks again.

No problem. Hit "User CP" above then on the left side of your screen hit "Edit Profile Picture" then you have a choice of using a web based photo or uploading one from your computer. Simply follow the instructions from that point.
