Well Hellooooooooo
Hello everybody,
I just got a 2001 Diablo 180 with 4.3l mercruiser, for free:yes_grin: It was my girlfriends fathers boat and he doesn't like new tech so he gave it to me. It's been sitting for a couple of years so it will take some good cleaning and engine maintenance but I can't wait to get it out on the water. I think i'll be keeping it either in freeport or bayshore on long island. I have driven everything from jetskis to tugs to 300ft sludge tankers but this is the first power boat i've owned. The main things that need fixing are a few of the gauges, the blower, decals, and the one thing i can't find a part for are those double fold hinges for the bench seat lifejacket storage. If anyone knows where to find these it would be greatly appreciated. |
Re: Well Hellooooooooo
Aren't you the lucky dog! ;)
Have a look thru our Vendor's List per the attached http://www.mariahownersclub.com/foru...-2.html#post92 and you should find sources for the parts you are looking for. As for the gauges, if they are Faria they have a lifetime warranty but most of the electrical problems you describe are due to corrosion at the connectors so usually that is a simple repair. The hinges might be more difficult to source although our mod (WetWilly) had a set made & might be able to give you more guidance in that area. |

Hi avi and welcome to the club!
Wow, a free Mariah.... does your girl friend have a sister and does the dad have a Ferrari, Porsche, Lambo, houses or anything else he'd like to give away? (Ok, just kidding about the sister, now about the rest of the stuff....) You might want to consider becomming a contributing member, that would give you access to our growing library of manuals, brochures diagrams, etc.. a well worth investment in keeping your "new" Mariah in tip top condition. Mikey's right, check out our Parts list to source the ones you need including some of the graphics. As for the hinges, I did have one made and if memory serves me right, another member found something close on eBay. I'll see if I can locate them and shoot you the link. WetWilly P.S. Get the blower running first, it's a safety device and all too important! |
