HELLO TO ALL, I just joined the club! I bought by 2000 Z202 Shabah about three years ago and we love it. i had it in the shop for some trailer work and the shop noticed a few stress fractures in the hull. It is apparently from hitting something last summer. the Insurance company is looking at it know and i am waiting on a response from them. they are claiming that the Mariah has a defect and this is not from an impact. i feel they are trying to get out of covering the claim. I did lots of research prior to buying the boat and have never heard or found any such thing to be true. Have any of you heard of a defective hull with Mariah boats?

Mariah carried a lifetime warranty on the hulls of their boats. From what I understand in talking with both the founder of Mariah and ex-employees, only a handful of boats ever had structural "discrepancies" that were brought back for factory repairs under this warranty. It usually says something when a company stands behind their product enough to warrant the hull to last the lifetime of the boat, and out of the tens of thousands of boats built, a very small number were brought in as warranty claims. While it is possible, I highly doubt that's the case with your boat. Sounds like your insurance agency is just trying to get out of covering the claim.
