Hi Folks, I just aquired this boat which came with very low hours and is in great shape. I knew of the boat when it was bought new and bought it after it spent way more time tied up to the dock then it did out on the water. I did not get any manuals with it and while most things work just fine there are some areas that needsome TLC in order to get all the "bells and whistles" working again. The boat is a dream to run and other then getting used to the gas consumption of the Big 5,7 V8 it is a real pleasure to get out on. I do my boating on Lake Simcoe in Ontario ,Canada.
I will be asking for some help in a few areas in order to get a handle on everything and its great to have found this website in order to share the issues.
Regards
Mark

Hey Mark, welcome to the forums. I think southern Ontario is getting a bit overrepresented here (if that's possible) It's good to know a bunch of us are enjoying these fine craft. Of course we do live in the freshwater boating utopia, so it only makes sense. :)

I have a '95 Shabah with the 5.7L. It can be a thirsty beast depending on how you run it. Mine will run effortlessly at 2500 to 3000 rpm, make decent headway and have "reasonable" fuel consumption.

Chris: I submitted the URL to Google a while back. I don't know if anyone else did. It now shows up as one of the first hits if you query "Mariah owners". It shows up about 9 pages in if you query "Mariah boats".

And just "Mariah"? We'll you can imagine what kid of hits that query produces... :rolling_laugh:

Yeah I get tired of looking for mariah boat info on google and seeing scantilly clad photos of Mariah Carey on there ..... *sigh*. The boat is more interesting :wink_thumbup:
