hi Beth

There is no manual that will tell you how to install a cover/canopy. What specific boat do you have and what problem are you having? I might suggest having a look in our Gallery & finding the photos of another similar boat?

Re: boat cover

First, we should establish which kind of cover you are talking about.

A cockpit (or tonneau) cover will cover the cockpit completely, including the windscreen, so that you cannot drive. This is the type of cover that you use to cover the boat when it's on the trailer or sitting in your dock.

A convertible cover has a frame that fits to the sides of the windshield, and the leading edge usually snaps along the top of the windshield similar to the picture in Mikey's avatar. It may or may not include an aft section which seals in the back of the boat. This type of cover provides you with cover, yet you can still drive the boat.

A third possiblility is a Bimini Top, which is like a big rectangular awning that is perched on a frame above the cockpit. It usually has no front, back or side panels. It's basically used to provide shade in the cockpit.
