new to me mariah

I just got finished waxing my 1993 20' Mariah bow rider (I believe it is a Z model) based on the schematic drawing in the manual. This is a nice boat and it is in very nice shape.

Glad to be part of the owners club - I will be looking forward to sharing info on this boat. The sticker in my new boats lists this boat as a 191.0 The boat measures out at 19' 6". It has the Mercury V-6 stern drive and currently has about 500 hrs on the hr meter.

This boat is in amazing shape for being 14 years old and drives great. I will post pics when I can.

what model do I have?

I figured out that I have a "Z" option package based on the schematic, but how do I determine what model?

Is it a Talari?

The manuals are very generic, and are not model specific. If you have an incredible amount of luxury options on your boat, then you've got the Z Model. Things like a transom light, windsheild defogger, docking lights, windshield wiper, etc. Also, on my Z250, the "Z250" is etched in glass on the side windows. They used to etch the model name into the windows, and usually put a decal on the side or the rear somewhere.

Chances are, you've most likely got a 200 Talari, or a 198 Shabah. Both measure in at 19'10". The main difference between them is on the transom in the back. The Shabah's have a raised area on the swim deck over the outdrive, (that sort of seperates the platform into 2 sections) and the Talari's are flat.

Hope that helps!

thanks

Yes I have the "Z" option for sure. I have every option listed on the schematic for the Z. The manual has various schematics and the "Z" schematic shows all the stuff included on my boat. There is a "limited" schematic and it has a digital cluster, the other schmatics (MX etc.) have various options but do not include all the stuff that is on the "Z".

As far as the raised platform over the outdrive, I believe the one I have is flat. There is a "bait tank - ice chest" built in on the port side. The padded area over the engine is about 8" higher than the swim deck. So I guess I have the Talari.

The Coast Guard plate shows a model # of 191.0 as far as I can tell.

OK, then you have a 1993 200 Talari Z. If your ladder is on the starboard side, and the cooler/ski rope storage is on the port side, then you've got the Talari. The 19.10 is the manufacturer's LOA measurement, 19'10". :)

Yes, the ladder is on the starboard side, and the cooler/ski rope storage is on the port side. thanks.

So the mystery is solved, I have a white with blue trim 1993 200 Talari Z.

This is a very nice boat, It looks great and handles very well on the water.

Thank you very much for your help. I would like to log on to the Promotional Materials Archive and the Original Mariah Manuals but those are listed as private.

Thanks again, jim

Hey Jim!

First off, welcome to the club! Looks like you've already got one problem solved, great stuff!

The Promotional Materials, Mariah Manuals, and Service Manuals are a premium feature that have taken hundreds of hours to build up. As a result, we've made access to the sections available only to the members that donate. Trust me, it's worth donating to get access. There's some good stuff in those sections.

Donating is very easy and is explained here. We have multiple levels of donation packages available so check out all the perks you get for each package and see which on looks right for you.

Hope that helps and let us know if you have any problems.
