Hi from Utah

Hello, I just purchased a 2001 Shabah 192. I don't know a lot about this boat but this looks like the place to learn. She's still wrapped up for the winter but hopefully in a few months I'll be able to go play a little.

Welcome aboard Buffalo Bill. You have one of the last of the original breed of Mariah which, imho, were a better built boat than the new version as made by Sea Fox. If you have any questions, feel free to post away and someone here will help you out.

This is my second boat but first Mariah. Besides from being a dang good looking boat it just seems to be built better than many of the boats I am used to. I plan on keeping it for a awhile and doing some upgrades.

From what I understand I need to donate to access some of the features of this site? That is fine with me.

Welcome to the board Buffalo_Bill! You're right, your Mariah will seem to be built better than the competitors, because IT IS! :) Mariah used much more expensive materials, more intricate construction methods, and spared no expense on creating a boat that would last, be "equipped like no other boat in the world", and look damn good on the water.

As far as contributing, that's entirely your choice. We've put together a great source of Mariah materials over the last year and a half. And we've also built a huge base of members who are the most helpful and understanding people you'll ever meet. We're all here to help each other out! We definitely appreciate any contributions, it helps us maintain the site, and search for more resources that can help our members. We have some different plans available, but like I said, it's completely voluntary.

Again, welcome to the board. :wink_thumbup:
