New Jubilee owner in Alabama

I've finally done it! After waffling for the past couple of months, I am now the proud new owner of a 2000 Jubilee Z244! And now I just have a long agonizing wait until Spring to actually get it out in the water.

A little about the boat...
It has had 1 previous owner. The hour meter shows 140, which reflects the hull, as a new motor was put in. It currently has less than 10 hours. It looks to be in great shape and I can't wait to really get out in it and play. The radio needs to be replaced, which I will be doing this winter. And I need to get the current cover modified to properly fit. The original cover wore out from too much sun, and the replacement cover never fit very well. Other than that everything else appears to be ready to go.

Here are a few photos the previous owner had taken of the boat:

A little about me...
This is my first boat (canoes and dingy sailboats don't count). I have 4 little ones, ages 8 to 6 months, hence the need for a deck boat. My wife grew up always having boats, but most of this is new to me. So she will be busy teaching me all about it.

This site is great. I've been lurking for about 6 weeks, gathering as much info as possible. And even asked one of the other Jubilee owners a few questions about towing.

Now, I just can't wait for Spring...

Welcome to the board! And congrats on your "new" Jubilee! That's a great looking boat! If you've got any questions, feel free to ask! :wink_thumbup:

Welcome aboard Dave! We have a few Jubilee owners here so you're in good company. As ShabahZ250 says, if you have any questions just ask! We'll look forward to hearing about your experiences also and when you get a moment, please 'pin' yourself on our member map.

Looks great.
What were you saying about the cover? I jsut had a custom made cover for my Z241. It cost $800 but it looks great and more importantly works great!!!

Hopefully I won't have to completely replace the cover. But $800 does sound like an ok price for a flly custom cover. The current cover (not the one in the above picture) is about 6 inches too short. I believe the original cover was used as a template. And whoever did the work just didn't do a good job on it. I'm hopefully going to have it lengthened. And then the snaps are in the wrong places. Most all of them need to be moved by an inch or 2. Initially I was just hoping that it would be a case of warming up the cover in the sun, and stretching it a bit to get it to snap properly. But really the snaps are in the wrong places.
