New member (From Sweden) and new Mariah z280 owner

Dear all members!

I live in Sweden and have just bought a Mariah Z280, it is model year 1999 and was imported from New York in 2003, then it has been in a temperature garage intakt until now.
It has 86 engine hours of the 7.4 Mercruiser with Bravo 3 and 17 hours on the generator.

I need lots of information about this boat if you want to share to me.
I was promised by the seller a new bimini top and camper canvas, but it was a lie,
so now I just have a steel frame and a bad bimini roof, a back piece and two very bad sides in rear.
Does anyone knows the price for new top and camper canvas?

Take care and stay safe// Van Hellsing

Wow, you found a gem there with super low hours. Enjoy it!

Congratulations on your purchase. I replaced the entire canvass on my 1999 Z280 in 2012 for $6500. Not cheap but well done by a local canvass shop.

Thanks Greg, I will enjoy it.

Steve, If I show my wife that cost, she will probably sell me instead :)

You will have to find a marine upholster / canvas shop in Sweden and have them price out a custom job. There is no original canvas (other than off a boat being parted out) available.

Hi again!
Found a local canvass shop and I got a price of $4100 for a custom made canvass, we can choose how many windows we want as well as including blackout curtains.

Does any of you have any tips or pictures of your canvass?
I will put in the boat in heated garage now and work with it during the winter, need to buy a converter from 230V to 110V, haven't found any yet but I still looking.
I'm also thinking about mount a Sapphire Compact system (Novec system) in the Engine compartment.

Is it possible to order carpets, both in and outside?
I have one question about the toilet, when you step on the handle and flush out, does it go right out in the sea?

I have tousand more question but this was the things that came up now, I also have a SeaSwirl 21 that has to be ready for the winter outside.

Hi van Hellsing - I have a few pictures of my canvass. My boat originally had a camper back including blackout curtains and insect screens. I chose to do away with them as I never used them. Instead I went with clear windows so I could leave the canvass up during cold weather and keep warm. You can view the pictures of my canvass in my gallery The Mariah Owners Club - Gallery - Hudson River Steve's Z280

I ordered carpets from a company in Oregon, USA https://corinthianmarine.com/. I created templates out of heavy paper and mailed them to the company, they made carpets that fit perfectly.

My Z280 has a holding tank for the toilet. When it flushes it goes into the holding tank and must be pumped out (vacuumed) from the deck plate on the starboard aft of the boat.
