Hello folks

Hi everyone, thanks for reading my quick introductory post.

I’m not new to boating but I have just acquired my first Mariah, 2001 with 4.3L v6.

So far I am pretty impressed with the build of this boat, and the condition which is a credit to it’s previous owner, but we haven’t been out on the water yet so really looking forwards to that (as soon as the Irish weather will give us a nice day! :shakehead::shakehead:)

I’d love to be more exact about which model I have but in truth I just don’t know. The previous owner had it insured as a 181 bowrider. From my “investigations” so far it seems there were 180 and 182 models, but no 181. Also not sure if the trim level, Shabah, Diablo, etc....I’m sure I will learn more as I work my way through the forum.

That’s all for now, hope to chat soon.

Andy.

Post up a photo ? You are a 'contributor' to this site so you should have access to the 2001 brochure which has photos of each model.

Yes the resources on here are excellent. I became a contributor and worked through the excellent library of 2001 documents. I have now worked out that the boat is a 180 Diablo.

What part of Ireland? I spent a month there last summer and stayed in Dublin, Galway and Portrush. I think it rained 5 of the 7 days i stayed in Galway....
