We are the owner of a 2001 Mariah Z302. Love the boat, we have had it for 3 summers now. I was never so thrilled to see this website since it is so hard to find anything relating to the Mariah. Are cover is starting to fail and was wondering if anyone knew who, or where we could get these re-created.
If so please let us know.

There are probably plenty of local outfits that will make new custom covers for you. Visit a few used boat dealers and ask them who they use. You'll likely wind up with a short list of reliable ones.

I bought my 96 Z202 from a local dealer last spring. The original covers were pooched. I insisted the dealer make new custom covers part of the deal. They took the boat to a local outfit and they did a marvelous job. Most people wouldn't be able to distinguish them from OEM.

I can't remember the material they used, but it was touted for it's durability and colourfastness.

I've heard you can likely get a better deal on price if you bring them the boat in the off season.

Surprisingly enough the original storage cover (with the Mariah logo) on our '96 was still usable. It needed some re-sewing (thanks to my better half) and re-treatment with waterproofing but now is completely serviceable. The original cover was made of Sunbrella. I would think there would be someone down in your area could re-create the storage cover w/out too much problem and possibly even sew the name Mariah on it some where.

We just had a new bimini/convertible top done along with a travel cover & new bow cover. Our specialist here recommended Sunbrella with "C-Marc" (i think) which is like a PVC coating on the inside. He said it would not need treatment for a number of years. He left the rear section of the convertible cover in regular Sunbrella saying that the trouble with the PVC coated stuff is that it doesn't breathe like the regular material and you can get condensation inside the boat. You just have to waterproof the regular stuff after 3-4 yrs. The advantage to using Sunbrella according to our guy was that the colour does not fade over time like some of the other products out there.

Aquaholic, I sent you some preliminary info in a PM yesterday, I figured I'd attach some pics to show you my top I had redone. There's also a pic of the original top in there... Quite a change!

My canvas guy redid the arrangment and added two poles in the rear, to aid in rain runoff. He added some extra material below the original buttons around the windshield, so it now sits flush with the fiberglass. Instead of leaving that 1-2" gap around the bottom. The buttons are a little higher into the fabric, but it makes the whole top look much more streamlined and smooth.

That looks so great. We had a estimate of 1600.00 to redo ours in Sunbrella. Our boat is bigger and has the bow cover also since it is the mid-cabin. I just think that is so expensive though. I need to get some more prices. I also need to get a full winter cover and have had a hard time finding one for that also, except at some crazy prices. The boat is in exceptional condition and want to keep it that way. It has only 100. hours on it.

Again so happy to find this site and will be sending the material you requested at the beginning of next week since I'll have to get it this weekend.

Looks great! One word of caution - don't let the 2 poles in the rear get too high and stretch the fabric. My mooring cover is getting really old, but I love how it snaps (not bungee cords, etc.) over the rub rail. One piece, full coverage. However, the rear uses 2 poles that have been raised a bit high, now I'm getting water pooling between the poles and the windshield. If I lower the poles, the wind can knock them over, causing an upside down umbrella - then I'm really screwed!
